Sex Pistols have announced that they will be releasing two new live albums that were recorded during their 1978 US tour. They were recorded during their January 10 show at Longhorns Ballroom in Dallas, Texas, and their January 14 show at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California (which was their final show until their 1996 reunion). These albums join their previously announced Live In The USA 1978 album which documents their their January 5 show at South East Music in Atlanta, Georgia and will be out on February 28. The Texas show will be out on March 28 and the San Francisco show will be out on April 25. See the announcement post in full below.
Electric Wizard will release a new album this year. Singer Jus Osborn, in an interview with It's psychedelic baby magazine, stated: "“Well, we actually have a new album coming next year. Yes, this live LP was just an ‘offering,’ a ‘gift’ (maybe even a contractual obligation, haha) to you while you patiently await our new recordings. I can’t see us doing more than one LP ever again, so we are making sure it’s bloody good. And bloody heavy.”

Savannah, Georgia-based emotional hardcore band Rosemary nods upon the grave have released their debut EP. It is called EP 1 and features three new tracks - “In French”, “War-Torn”, and “Bonaventure” - along with “I remember Halloween” which was released in September 2024 as their debut single. The band has also released a video for their new song “controlfreak69” which was shot, directed, and edited by Boy Wonder. Gloin released their album We Found This in 2022. Prepare The Ground has announced its full lineup for this year. Baroness (performing Red and Blue in full), Astral Witch, Big|Brave, Burning Love (reunion and final show), Jetsam, NØ MAN, Truck Violence, Adult., Genital Shame, Immortal Bird, Guiltless, are among the bands now playing the festival. These bands join the previously announced lineup which includes YOB (playing two sets including playing Atma in full), Kylesa, Young Widows, The Atlas Moth, Kowloon Walled City, Midwife, Alaskan,Have A Nice Life, Khanate, and Pygmy Lush. Scream have announced that they will be playing three shows across the Eastern US. They will be playing in Pennsylvania and New York in March. In their announcement post on Instagram the band expressed their feelings on the ongoing wildfires in California, saying in part,
”It’s hard to communicate knowing that this appears in the company of so much tragedy. Thinking of Octavia Butler, who said that for “the major tragedies in life, there’s just no compensation. But the minor ones you can always write about. It’s my way of dealing, and it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than psychiatrists. The story, you see, will get you through.”
So we are holding love for Los Angeles, knowing there’s just no compensation, but still doing our best to tell some stories and get you through.
